6.5 Conductivity measurement initial display
When switching on the CD-2004 («ON/OFF» key) the conductivity and temperature
measurement initial display appears.
Push «
/C/T/S» key to change measurements in conductivity, TDS and salinity.
Note: In order the measurements are precise, it's necessary to configure and
calibrate the conductivity meter.
6.5.1 Conductivity measurement: (CON)
In order this measurement is correct, you must use the configuration mode to set
up the following parameters:
•
Sensor constant.
•
Temperature compensation coefficient.
•
Conductivity sensor constant calibration.
6.5.2 Total Diluted Solids measurement: (TDS)
In order this measurement is correct, you must use the configuration mode to set
up the following parameters:
•
Sensor constant.
•
Temperature compensation coefficient.
•
«TDS transfering coefficient»
•
Conductivity sensor constant calibration
•
Coefficient calibration: «TDS transfering coefficient»
6.5.3 Salinity measurement: (SALT)
In order this measurement is correct, you must use the configuration mode to set
up the following parameters:
•
Sensor constant.
•
Conductivity sensor constant calibration
It's not necessary to insert a temperature compensation coefficient, as the equip-
ment performs this compensation automatically.
6.6 Suitable conductivity sensor selection
Sensor constant to measure in a conductivity range:

2 ... 200 µS/cm
0.2 ... 2 mS/cm
2 ... 20 mS/cm
20 ... 200 mS/cm
Sensor constant to measure in a TDS range:
