MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS (fig. 1a).
Lift off the cover plate
as shown.
Open the detector
and remove electronic module
touch pyroelectric sensor
Break out one or both cable entry hole(s)
Select mounting holes for corner
Use the base as a template for marking screw hole locations on the wall.
Fasten the base to the wall.
Strip cable for 5 cm and pull it through the cable entry hole(s)
relief
(fig. 1b).
Replace the electronic module
Replace cover
, insert screw
The detector should be mounted at a height of 1.8 to 3.0 meters.
The DD300-P series detector is a verified PIR and should be installed to
maximise PIR detection. The best detection is therefore obtained with the ex-
pected movement of an intruder perpendicular and/or diagonal to the mount-
ing location.
SITING THE DETECTOR (fig. 1c).
The dual technology processing of this detector is very resistant to false alarm
hazards. Nevertheless avoid potential causes of instability such as:
-
Direct sunlight onto the detector.
-
Heat sources in a field of view (heaters, radiators, etc.).
-
Strong air draughts onto the detector (fans, air-conditioning, etc.).
-
Large animals (cats, dogs) in a field of view.
-
Moving objects (signs, mobiles, etc.).
WALK TEST LED FUNCTIONS (fig. 2).
To walk test the DD325-P/DD326-P make sure jumper J3 is in the ON position
or the LED is enabled remotely.
In the DD335-P/DD336-P the LED must be enabled by applying a "CV" signal
to terminal 10.
Select the required function of the LED at jumper J2.
DUAL
= Detector Alarm.
ULTRASONIC = Ultrasonic Alarm.
PIR
= PIR alarm.
Use "ULTRASONIC" and "PIR" when required to locate the coverage patterns
of the individual technologies.
RANGE ADJUSTMENT (fig. 2a).
Programme the range at jumper J1.
12 m = maximum range up to 12 m.
8 m = medium
range up to 8 m.
5 m = minimum range up to 5 m.
Always select the lowest range setting possible for the dimensions of the
protected area.
1) Select PIR channel on jumper J2.
Verify PIR coverage and adjust if required.
2) Select ULTRASONIC channel on jumper J2.
Verify ULTRASONIC coverage and adjust if required.
3) Select DUAL processing on jumper J2 and verify unit detection.
LED JUMPER AND REMOTE CONTROL OF LED (fig. 2a & 2b).
(DD325-P/DD326-P) .
Move jumper J3 to position OFF/REMOTE. The LED is now disabled. It may be
enabled by moving the jumper J3 to the ON position or remotely by applying a
0 V potential to terminal 8.
ALARM MEMORY (fig. 2c).
(DD335-P/DD336-P).
Connect "CV" to terminal 9 by arming the system. If an alarm has occurred
during the armed period, the detector or detectors which gave the alarm are
indicated by a flashing LED when the system is disarmed and walk test is off.
Re-applying the "CV" (re-arming the system) will reset LED indication and
memory.
REMOTE ENABLE/DISABLE OF WALK TEST LED (fig. 3).
To walk test the detector, disarm the system and switch "CV" to terminal 10
(Walk test).

The LED lights when the detector is in
alarm.
Relay follows LED.
The LED lights when the ultrasonic chan-
nel is in alarm.
Relay is always in alarm.
The LED lights when the signal in the
PIR channel exceeds the alarm level.
Relay is always in alarm.
Note 1: Enabling the walk test will not clear alarm memory.
Note 2: To enable the walk test LED without a remote "CV" input, connect a
link between terminal 2 and 10.
ULTRASONIC DISABLE.
The DD335-P/DD336-P has the additional feature that whenever
the system is disarmed with the walk test off, the ultrasonic transmitter will
be switched off. The detector will then operate as a PIR only. In all other
configurations the unit operates in dual technology mode.
and strain
WINDOW MASK (fig. 4).
In the presence of objects close to (within 1.5 m) and directly under the detector,
fit the mask to the inside of the window as shown.
.
This disables the part of the curtains looking at the object, whose closeness
might otherwise destabilize the detector.
