2b.) Using tin snips, trim heat shield as shown in Figure 2. Reinstall the heat
shield after trimming using (4) nuts and (3) screws removed in previous steps.
NOTE: (2) screws will not be used.

4. Drill holes – Raise the hitch into position and align it with two foremost attachment holes. Use marker to mark a drill point at 2
both sides. Make sure the hitch sits straight with location marked. Lower the hitch down and use drill to drill a ½" hole, both sides.

3. Remove frame rail hardware – Using T25 star driver, remove (1) screw from
driver frame rail. Repeat for passenger side.
