To measure 1MΩ resistance, the meter will take a few seconds to stabilize the
reading. This is normal for high resistance measurements.
CAPACITANCE MEASUREMENTS
- Set the dial switch to the desired range.
- Before inserting the capacitor to measure capacitance in the socket, make sure
that the capacitor has been fully unloaded.
DIODE TEST
- Connect the black lead to the COM jack and the red to Jack V / Ω (polarity of
the red lead is "+").
- Set the selector switch in position
and connect the red to the anode, the black
to the cathode of the diode to be tested. The meter will show the approximate
value of the diode forward voltage. If the connection points are inverted, the
display will show "1."
TRANSISTOR TEST
- Set the selector switch in hFE position.
- Determine any transistor to be tested, if it is NPN or PNP and locate the emitter,
base and collector. Insert the terminals of the transistor in the transistor test
socket.
- The meter will show the value approx. hFE (current 10μA base and 3.2 V - - -
Vce).
CONTINUITY TEST
- Connect the black lead to the COM jack and the red lead to the V / Ω jack. (The
polarity of the red lead is "+").
- Set the selector switch in •))) position, the tester will sound when the resistance
is less than 50Ω.
