HOW TO USE YOUR
FLIP BUNDT CAKE MAKER
1.
Place the Flip Bundt Cake Maker on a flat, stable surface.
2.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the removable cake tray is in position in the lower bundt cake plate.
3.
If the lid handle is folded, unfold to extend and close the lid. Fold in handle to avoid contact
during use.
4.
Prepare cake batter.
5.
Plug unit into a 120V AC electrical outlet to preheat. The red POWER ON light will illuminate.
NOTE: When the Flip Bundt Cake Maker is heated for the first time, it may emit slight smoke or
odor. This is normal and should disappear after 1 or 2 uses. This does not affect the safety of
the appliance. However, as it may affect the flavor of the first cake prepared in the Flip Bundt
Cake Maker, it is recommended that it be discarded.
6.
After approximately 2 to 3 minutes, the green READY light will illuminate, indicating the unit
is preheated and is ready for use.
7.
Using the lid handle, make sure the Flip Bundt Cake Maker's bundt cake plates are positioned
flat and locked into a stable horizontal position, with indicator lights on top. Unfold the lid
handle and lift lid to view the bundt cake plates.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the removable cake tray is in position in the lower cake plate.
WARNING: The Flip Bundt Cake Maker is designed to bake with the removable cake tray. To
prevent damage to the unit or injury to persons, never add batter or bake any cake in the unit
without first making sure the cake tray sits flat in the bottom of the lower bundt cake plate,
and the cake tray handles are fitted properly in the cutouts in the body.
NOTE: Improper assembly of the removable cake tray will prevent the Bundt Cake Maker from
rotating.
8.
Use a pastry brush or paper towel to apply a generous coat of oil to the upper and lower cake
plates and removable cake tray.
9.
Pour or ladle 2 to 2 ½ cups batter onto the removable cake tray, in the center of the lower cake
plate. DO NOT add batter past the top ridge in the mold. (See Figure 4.)
NOTE: Avoid pouring batter over the center tube if possible.
IMPORTANT: Quantity of batter needed may vary depending on the batter consistency. Note
the perfect batter quality needed for each cake recipe for future use.
10. Use the lid handle to lower the lid; rotate the unit clockwise 180° so the bottom side is facing
up (flip upside down). Fold handle in to avoid contact during baking. (See Figure 5.)
NOTE:
When flipping your bundt cake maker upside down, if it begins rotating back to an
upright position: 1) check that your bundt cake maker has been properly preheated and
2) make sure your batter is not too runny. Both of these situations can cause the
"bottom" of the bundt cake maker to be too heavy so that it will lean back towards an
upright position. If this occurs, place a heavy, heat-resistant dish onto the "bottom" of
the bundt cake maker to prevent it from rotating. (See Figure 5A.)
