4.
Remove the fleece residues from the heat insulation
cut-outs.
5.
1
Note that, depending on the product type, the heat
insulation consists of two or three side elements (3).

6.
Install the lateral heat insulation by guiding the heat
insulation cut-outs over the product's pipes.
7.
Press the heat insulation onto the buffer cylinder so
that the terminal blocks between the two side elements
engage in the first catch (1).
8.
Repeat this step for the other terminal blocks.
9.
Press the terminal blocks between the two side ele-
ments together until the last catch (2).
10.
Repeat this step for the other terminal blocks.
11.
Clip on the cover strips.
12.
Fit the collars on the buffer cylinder connections.
13.
Place the thermal insulation caps over the unused con-
nections and clip them in.
14.
Pull the protective sleeve over the buffer cylinder.

Connecting the product's hydraulic system

1.
Tear the protective sleeve for the buffer cylinder where
the connections are used.
2.
Check that the volumetric capacity of the expansion
vessel is sufficient for the system volume.
3.
Install the expansion vessel.
Caution.
Risk of material damage caused by
residues in the pipelines.
Welding remnants, sealing residues, dirt or
other residues in the pipelines may damage
the product.
Flush the heating installation thoroughly
before installing the product.

Caution.
Risk of material damage caused by corro-
sion
Due to non-diffusion-tight plastic pipes in the
heating installation, air gets into the heating
water. Air in the heating water causes corro-
sion in the heat generator circuit and in the
product.
If you use non-diffusion-tight plastic pipes
in the heating installation, ensure that no
air gets into the heat generator circuit.
4.
Hydraulically connect the buffer cylinder to the heating
circuits and the heat generators (→ Basic hydraulic
diagrams in the appendix).

Checking and treating the heating
water/filling and supplementary water
Caution.
Risk of material damage due to poor-qual-
ity heating water
Ensure that the heating water is of suffi-
cient quality.
Before filling or topping up the installation, check the
quality of the heating water.
Checking the quality of the heating water
Remove a little water from the heating circuit.
Check the appearance of the heating water.
If you ascertain that it contains sedimentary materials,
you must desludge the installation.
Use a magnetic rod to check whether it contains mag-
netite (iron oxide).
If you ascertain that it contains magnetite, clean the in-
stallation and apply suitable corrosion-inhibition meas-
ures, or fit a magnetic filter.
Check the pH value of the removed water at 25 °C.
If the value is below 8.2 or above 10.0, clean the installa-
tion and treat the heating water.
Ensure that oxygen cannot get into the heating water.
Checking the filling and supplementary water
Before filling the installation, measure the hardness of the
filling and supplementary water.
Treating the filling and supplementary water
Observe all applicable national regulations and technical
rules when treating the filling and supplementary water.
Validity: Germany
In particular, observe VDI directive 2035, sheets 1 and 2.
Provided the national regulations and technical rules do not
stipulate more stringent requirements, the following applies:
You must treat the heating water in the following cases
If the entire filling and supplementary water quantity dur-
ing the operating life of the system exceeds three times
the nominal volume of the heating installation, or
