USING YOUR HUMIDIFIER

1. Power: With the power switch in the OFF position, plug the filled humidifier into a polarized 120V outlet.
DO NOT force the polarized plug into the outlet; It will only fit one way. DO NOT plug in humidifier
with wet hands to avoid electric shock.
2. Set output control to high (
) or low ( ).
3. Humidity Control: Set humidistat to desired setting by turning humidistat to Continuous (
Once you have reached a comfortable humidity level, slowly turn humidistat counter clockwise
until you hear a click. The humidistat will then maintain the humidity level you selected.
4. Refill/Reset Light: If the unit runs out of water, the refill light will illuminate. To reset the humidifier,
turn the unit off, fill water tank/fill area with cool water, wait 15 minutes and turn unit back on.
WARNING: DO NOT OPERATE WITH TOP COVER, MIST CHIMNEY, MIST DOME OR
WATER FLOAT REMOVED.
WEEKLY CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: All maintenance should be done in the kitchen or bathroom on a water resistant surface.
Weekly Cleaning: To properly clean your humidifier we recommend the separate processes of
scale removal and disinfecting.
DISHWASHER SAFE:
safe for residential dishwashers operating at temperatures below
70°C/158°F. Run the dishwasher on the light duty or normal cycle.
Do not wash with soiled articles/dishes. DO NOT USE DETERGENTS.
If you use your dishwasher you will not need to follow the disinfecting
and scaling procedure.
Please Note: Do not place parts on lower rack of dishwasher. Doing
so could cause damage to the humidifier parts and dishwasher.

THE MAIN HOUSING IS NOT DISHWASHER SAFE.
Placing the main housing in the dishwasher will damage your humidifier and
render it unable to operate properly.
You must follow the Scale Removal instructions to clean the heating element.

Turn power off, unplug unit and allow to cool for 20-30 minutes before beginning cleaning process.

1. Remove top cover, mist dome, mist chimney and float.
2a. Remove float by pulling up gently on red tab.
2b. Remove mist chimney/mist dome assembly by pushing back on the red tab and pulling up.
3. Disassemble mist dome/mist chimney by turning counter clockwise.
4. Pour 1 cup (250 mL ) of vinegar in water tank.

5. Place mist chimney, mist dome and float in vinegar solution or follow the dishwasher option.
6. Soak heating element for 15-20 minutes then gently scrub with a soft brush to remove mineral deposits.
Do not use steel wool or other harsh abrasives as it will remove the coating from the heating element or
damage the heating element.
7. Gently wipe top housing if you do not use dishwasher.
8. After 20 minutes thoroughly rinse unit and parts until smell of the solution is gone.
Disinfecting directions: Disinfect following scale removal
Follow steps 5 through 8 from the Scale Removal section.
Add 1 teaspoon (5 mL) of bleach to 1 gallon (3.75 L) water.
Add up to 1/4 gallon (0.90 L) of bleach solution to water reservoir.
NOTE: USING MORE THAN 1 TEASPOON (5 mL) OF BLEACH PER GALLON
+
(3.75 L) OF WATER WILL RESULT IN DAMAGE TO YOUR HUMIDIFIER.
Note: Please be careful of clothing, rugs and other non bleach
resistant materials when disinfecting. Spilling bleach on clothing,
rugs and certain surfaces may cause damage.
