Snorkeling with the ProEar 2000 - The ProEar 2000 mask can be very beneficial to snorkelers as well.
The combination of wind (often cold) and cold water is very hard on the ears, in many cases, long time
snorkeling and surfing in these conditions create bony deposits in the outer ear (exostoses) which can
affect hearing and the ability to equalize when diving. The ProEar 2000 mask is the most effective solution
against this condition. Skin Divers can dive down as deep as they like with the ProEar 2000 and by gently
blowing air through the nose and into the air tubes it makes equalizing pressure much easier. The air that
covers the ears, reduces the risk of infections caused by the cold and polluted water.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
It is important to carefully rinse the ProEar 2000 mask with fresh water (and soap if possible) and dry
it well after each use, especially the tubes and ear cups. If salt builds up in the pipes, it can "lock" the
one-way valve. It can plug and block air flow to the ear cup. Please always check the free flow of air
between the mask and the ear cups before diving. Leave the mask to dry in a well-ventilated place and
out of the blazing sun. When the mask is completely dry, store it in the transport box (depending on the
mask model).
ATTENTION
Any contact of the clear silicone skirt/strap with black rubber items, could cause browning of it.
Our masks are fabricated with phthalate free, non-toxic materials and comply to strict safety standards.
