INDICATIONS
Treatment of plantar ulcers, diabetes, arthritis, wound prevention, neuropathy,
other conditions recommended by a physician
CAUTION
• This product should only be used when prescribed by a physician.
• Hexplugs should only be removed or altered when instructed by the
prescribing physician.
• Modifications to this product are to be made only under the prescribing
physician orders.
• All patients should be monitored closely.
• Patients should be instructed to inspect their feet and this product before
and after each use.
• This product was designed for plantar ulcer healing.
• Wounds located at the beginning or the end of the gait path should be
monitored closely to ensure that pressure relief is maintained.
• If a patient displays poor compliance, the use of this product should be
reconsidered.
• Do not relieve too large of an area that may allow the ulcer to bottom out
while weight bearing.
• The DH Offloading insole should not be used in conjunction with any
other walker or footwear device.
• In order to prevent individual Hexplugs from falling into the relieved area,
the corners of the Hexplugs lying on the perimeter of the relieved area may
be trimmed (scythed) upon the prescribing physician's orders.
• Do not remove the foam pads that are adhered to the Walker's frame.
• If skin irritation of any kind develops or any other problem occurs with the
use of this product, please immediately contact your medical professional.
• Do not remove walker unless instructed by your physician.
• Be sure to readjust the walker straps as necessary so that the Equalizer
feels stable and comfortable.
• This product has been designed and tested for single patient usage and is
not recommended for multiple patient usage.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Release contact closure straps #1, #2 and #5. Remove contact closure
straps #3 and #4. Remove softgood. Do not remove the strut release
strips at this time.
2. Place lower leg and foot inside softgood. Close the inner bootie snugly
using the contact closures.
3. Close softgood snugly over the inner bootie using the contact closures
on the softgood.
4. Insert the foot into the walker frame by gently spreading the vertical
struts. Do not remove the strut release strips at this time.
5. Be sure the vertical struts are centered over the malleoli (ankle bone).
