The CLIMA full body harness are CE marked to BSEN 361:2002 (full body harness), BSEN 813:1997 and
BSEN 358:2000 (work positioning systems). Certified by Approved Body: SGS UK, Ellesmere Port,
Cheshire CH65 3EN. Identification number 0120. Production Control is audited by the BSI –
Identification Number 0086.
A full body harness is the only acceptable body holding device that can be used in a fall arrest system.
It is essential that this product is sold to the end user with the instructions in the correct language of
the country in which the product is to be used. This harness is for use in a fall arrest system that has
had a thorough risk-assessment including an analysis of the clearance height necessary below the user
to ensure safety.
The CLIMA harness has been designed specifically for applications involving suspension for long periods
of time, such as abseil inspection or pole working.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS

Firstly slacken off / release the waist and leg buckles.

Hold the harness at the rear of the waist pad, and at the front attachment point. Step into the
harness, through one of the leg loops then through the other leg loop.

Pull the harness up around the waist.

Fit harness over left shoulder.

Attach other shoulder strap with buckle and adjust to suitable tension by pulling on the free length
of webbing.

Attach the leg straps to the sit pad and pull the free webbing to tighten.

Tighten the waist by simultaneously drawing forward both sides of the waist belt webbing.

Adjust the rear straps to locate the rear fall-arrest point between the shoulder blades.

Tidy all loose webbing into web-tidies to avoid snagging.

When used for ascending ropes the shoulders should be as tight as is comfortable when sat in the
seat, to eliminate any slack webbing. At all other times the harness should be comfortable when
standing upright, without undue pressure on chest, shoulders, or pelvic area.

When using the EN813 waist attachment, secure all items into BOTH loops with a semi-circular or
delta-shaped Maillon Rapide screw-link.
