CODMAN
and Cranial Drill Bits
Indications
The CODMAN
Drill Bits are indicated when a craniotomy
is required for placement of an intracranial
pressure (ICP) monitoring device and/or
cerebrospinal fluid drainage device.
Contraindications
This device is not designed, sold, or intended
for any use except as indicated.
Complications
Bleeding may occur at the site of the drill
hole, originating from the scalp, bone, dural,
or cerebral areas. Due to the possibility of
cerebral or extracerebral hemorrhage or any
other complication of this procedure, drill hole
placement is the sole responsibility of the
attending neurosurgeon.
PRECAUTIONS
It is essential to maintain strict aseptic
technique during craniotomy procedures.
