IV.
INSTALLATION.
When installing equipment inside air bag equipped vehicles, the installer MUST
ensure that the equipment is installed ONLY in areas recommended by the vehicle
manufacturer.
Failure to observe this warning will reduce the effectiveness of the air bag, damage
the air bag, or potentially damage or dislodge the equipment, causing serious
injury or death to you or others.
Before proceeding with installation, plan all cable/wire routing.
A.
MODLED1.
1.
See figure 1. Position the LED Module on the mounting surface. Ensure that
it is level side to side and the module's drain hole is at the bottom. Using the LED Module
and the dimensions shown in figure 1, scribe the (3) mounting hole and wire routing hole
locations on the mounting surface.
Before drilling holes in ANY part of a vehicle, be sure that both sides of the
mounting surface are clear of parts that could be damaged; such as brake lines,
fuel lines, electrical wiring or other vital parts.

Drill three mounting holes (3/16") and an appropriate sized wire routing hole
at the previously scribed hole locations.
All drilled holes should be free of burrs and sharp edges. All wire routing holes
should be grommeted and/or sealed to avoid wire and/or vehicle damage.
3.
The led module housing has been designed with an integral connector socket.
The supplied accessory kit includes the components for the mating end of this connector.
4.
Complete the electrical connections as described in Paragraph V. Electrical
Connections.
5.
Plug the connector into the LED module.
6.
Align the LED Module over the previously drilled holes and secure with the
supplied #8 x 1/2" thread-forming screws.
