Getting Started
Before fi rst use
1.
Unpack your Deep Fryer and make sure all parts are in good condition and
ready to use.
2.
Remove the lid by the handle on top of the lid and take the frying basket, power
cord and protective paper sheet out of the oil container.
3.
Read all instructions.
4.
It is highly recommended to clean the lid, casing, container and frying basket as
described in the 'Care and Cleaning' section.
5.
Position your Deep Fryer on a stable, secure, dry, heat resistant and level
work surface and ensure the power cord is routed away from the Deep Fryer's
heating surfaces.
6.
The cord attachment at the base of the fryer is a magnetic connection designed
to release quickly. Very little pressure is required when making this connection.
Look for the words "This Side Up" when making this connection.
7.
Before connecting to a power source, make sure your mains supply voltage
is the same as indicated on the product label. Connect the plug to a suitable
power outlet and make sure that the power cord does not overhang the work
surface.
WARNING!

Overheating Protection

The Deep Fryer is fi tted with a overheat protection.
If you should accidentally switch on your Deep Fryer when there is no oil or fat in
it, the overheating protection is automatically turned on. The appliance is no longer
ready to be used.
Only after the device has been left to cool down completely should the 'RESTART'
button on the front of the control element be pressed in order to use the Deep Fryer
again.
NOTE: To press this you should use a plastic or wooden object that is the least 1"
(4 cm) long.
