3. Open the replacement float switch package.
4. Place the float switch cord clamp around the
cord,
3-1/2" from the float end.
5. Position and hold the clamp in place on the
pump cover.
6. Insert the screw through the clamp and attach the
clamp to the motor cover.
7. Tighten the screw until the clamp is snug. Do not
overtighten.
8. Plug the float switch piggy-back and pump plug
into the electrical outlet. Lift the float to the upper
position and the unit will start. Lower the float to
the lower position and the unit will stop. See
Figure 2.

9. Check the switch operation by filling the sump
with water and observing the operation through
one complete cycle. Switch must have maximum
possible clearance.
Risk of flooding. May cause per-
sonal injury or property damage. Failure to check
installation with water in sump can lead to improper
operation, premature pump failure, and flooding.

1. Disconnect the power to the pump.
Hazardous voltage. Can shock,
burn or kill.
2. Loosen and remove the plug bracket mounting
screws and the cord clamp screw on the pump
cover. Refer to Figure 3.

3. Remove the old plug bracket.
4. Unplug the float switch plug from the top of the
pump.
5. Remove the old float switch.

6. Install the replacement float switch by plugging
the float switch plug into the float switch plug
outlet on the top of the pump.
NOTE: While aligning the mounting bracket, be

7. Reinstall the pump plug mounting bracket.
8. Insert the bracket screws and tighen them with
the screwdriver until snug. Do not overtighten.
9. Place the float switch cord clamp around the cord
approximately 3-1/2" from the float end.
10. Position and hold the clamp in place on the
pump cover and attach the cord clamp to the
motor cover with the screw provided.
11. Tighten the cord clamp until snug. Do not over-
tighten.
12. Plug the power cord into the electrical outlet. Lift
the float to the upper position and the unit will
start. Lower the float to the lower position and the
unit will stop. See Figure 2.
13. Check the switch operation by filling the sump
with water and observing the operation through
one complete cycle. Switch must have maximum
possible clearance.
