Installing/changingtheblade
Secure the appliance against
switching on (see "Switch
ing on/off"). If the appliance
is switched on accidentally,

Installing the blade:
1. Pushthelever(18)forsawbladeun-
lockingdownwardsasfarasthestop
andkeepithelddown.Pushthesaw-
bladeshaft(19/20)intothesawblade
mounting slot.
2. Tounlock,releasethelever(18),itwill
returntotheinitialposition.
3. Checkthatthesawbladeissecureby
pullingonit.
Removing the sawblade:
4. Pressthelever(18)forsawbladeun-
lockingdownwardsasfarasthestop
andthenpullthesawbladeoutofthe
sawblade mounting.
Forcertainwork,thesawblade
can also be inserted after turning
through180°.
Operatingthesabresaw
1. Beforeswitchingtheapplianceon,en-
sureitisnotincontactwiththework-
piece.
2. Turntheapplianceon.
Byusingtheon/offswitch(10)youcan
progressivelycontrolthestrokerate.
Gentle pressure:lowstrokerate.
Greater pressure: higherstrokerate.
Theon/offswitchcannotbelocked.
3. Placethefootplate(17)onthework-
piece.
4. Cutwithauniformforwardmotion.
5. Aftercompletionofthework,first
switch off the device and then remove
the blade from the saw cut.

perfectcondition.Onlyusemetalsaw-
bladesformetalworking.
• Ensureyourstanceisstableandhold
theappliancetightlywithbothhands
and away from your body.
• Beforesawingtheworkpiece,check
for hidden foreign objects such as
nails, screws. These must be removed.
•
Plunge cuts may only be made in soft
materialsuchaswoodorplaster-
board.
