2.0 INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING
2.1 Requirements the user is responsible for
The environmental conditions of the location where the machine is installed must have the following
characteristics:
∙ Have no humidity.
∙ Water and heat sources adequately distant.
∙ Appropriate ventilation and lighting and compliant with the hygienic and safety requirements of the laws in force.
The floor must be flat and compact in order to aid accurate cleaning. No obstacles of any nature which may affect
normal machine ventilation must be put near it.
INFORMATION
The electrical mains must be fitted with a differential automatic switch with characteristics
adequate to those of the machine, in which the opening distance between the contacts is at least 3
mm. Specifically an efficient earthing system is crucial.
CAUTION
Check that the system power supply voltage and frequency, are compatible with the values shown
both on the technical specifications (1.3) and on the plate on the back of the machine.
2.2 Installation methods
The machine is supplied in a specific sealed crate fastened to the wooden pallet with straps. Inside the packaging,
in addition to the machine, there are the operating instructions and the declaration of conformity according to the
machinery directive. The machine must be unloaded from the transport vehicle by lifting it with suitable equipment.
To transport the machine to the installation location, use a wheel carriage of adequate capacity. After cutting the
straps, remove the packaging and the plastic protection, then, using belts of adequate capacity inserted below the
base of the machine (Fig.3) and suitable lifting equipment (manual or motorised), lift the machine, remove the
pallet below, put it in the position required, paying attention to leave a free space around the machine of approx. 50
cm to aid the operating, cleaning and maintenance operations of the machine. In case of machine instability due
to the unevenness of the floor, shim the feet or the wheels with pieces of hard rubber sheet.
For correct machine levelling, operate on the A feet (Fig. 4).
Note: All parts relative to the packaging must be disposed of according to the laws in force.
2.3 Electrical connection
The Y type connection of the machine with the electrical mains is performed via power cable, which is only fitted
with plug in the single-phase version. For machines with three-phase power supply, mount a standardised and
polarised plug at the end of the cable (the distinction between phase and neutral must be clear), and check that the
rotation direction of the tank is the one indicated by the arrow on the tank.
2.4 Machine positioning
The electrical mains socket must be easily accessible and must not require any movement. The distance between
the machine and the socket must not cause tension in the power cable. Additionally, this cable must be under the
machine support feet.
