To minimize the risk of fire, the station software
periodically performs a guided leak check other-
wise the station stops. For the same purpose, there
are also hardware features such as ventilation fan
monitoring system, openings properly located on the
bottom of the trolley (R1234yf is heavier than air)
and sealed electronic circuits.

Caution to prevent equipment damage
TO PREVENT CROSS-CONTAMINATION, USE
ACS 661 WITH R1234yf REFRIGERANT ONLY. The
ACS 661 is equipped with special connectors to re-
cover, recycle, and recharge only R1234yf refriger-
ant. Do not attempt to adapt the ACS 661 for anoth-
er refrigerant. Do not mix refrigerant types through
a system or in the same container; mixing of refrig-
erants will cause severe damage to the ACS 661 and
the vehicle air conditioning system.
DO NOT USE ACS 661 OUTDOORS DURING RAIN
OR HIGH HUMIDITY. Protect the ACS 661 from con-
ditions that may cause electrical failure or other
hazards relating to ambient interaction.
DO NOT USE ACS 661 IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT. Posi-
tion the ACS 661 far from heat sources, such as di-
rect sunlight which can cause excessive tempera-
tures.
The use of ACS 661 under normal environmental
conditions (10°C to 50°C) keeps pressures under
reasonable limits.
DO NOT USE ACS 661 IN AREAS WHERE THERE IS A
RISK OF EXPLOSION.
Set up the ACS 661 on an even surface and under
sufficient lighting. lock the front wheels, and do not
subject the ACS 661 to vibration.
Further information regarding health and safety may be
obtained from the refrigerant manufacturer.
WARNING: Warranty is not valid in all cases
of improper use of the machine and if the ma-
chine is not submitted to periodic ordinary
and extraordinary maintenance (according
to PED directive 2014/68/EU) provided in
this original instructions. The manufacturer
therefore declines all responsibilities for any
damage resulting from not observing all the
instructions and warnings provided to the
user regarding installation, use and mainte-
nance.

2.2
Protective devices
ACS 661 is equipped with the following protective de-
vices:
R
Over pressure valves.
R
A maximum pressure switch stops the compressor
when excessive pressure is sensed.
WARNING: Tampering with these protective
devices could result in serious injury.
WARNING: Do not modify the pressure
relief valve or change the control system
settings. Using the ACS 661 in a manner for
which it was not designed will compromise
the ACS 661 and nullify the protections
provided.
2.3
PED directive 2014/68/EU
The machine includes parts subject to PED EU directive
2014/68/EU, Pressure Equipment Directive. PED direc-
tive regulates all the pressurized part defining for them
categories based on volume-pressure ratio and based
on fluid refrigerant type. Those parts then have not to
be anyhow modified nor removed. Under the responsi-
bility of the owner, the machine and parts falling in the
scope of PED shall be checked either during commis-
sioning and periodically fulfilling local country regula-
tions and norms.
Parts in the scope of PED are:
R
Tank.
R
Pressure relieve valve.
R
High pressure switch.
R
Recovery group.
R
Piping.
