Automatic Function

Automatic
WARNING: To prevent personal injury while

The charge function for vehicles equipped with a
single-service fitting should be carried out manually
according to procedures in the vehicle manufactur-
er's service manual.

The amount of oil recovered during recover is auto-
matically injected before the charge cycle.

If recover was not performed, the amount of oil to
be injected may be entered while programming the
charge information.

If problems are encountered during the automatic
sequence, an audio alert sounds three times. The
sequence remains paused until the user enters a
decision regarding how to proceed.

The pre-charge leak test is automatic.

Before performing any oil or UV dye injection make
sure a proper quantity is available into the respec-
tive bottle.
The automatic function allows a user to perform an
automatic recovery, vacuum, leak test, and / or charge
sequence. A total automatic sequence may take up to
an hour to complete.
1. Connect high-side (red) and low-side (blue) service
hoses to the A/C system.
2. Open the service hose coupling valves by turning the
collars clockwise.
3. Open both the high-side and low-side valves on the
ACS 661's control panel.

4. Press automatic.
5. Follow the instructions on the display as the
ACS 661 proceeds through the Automatic cycle.
During Charge, follow the Charge-specific instruc-
tions elsewhere in this manual.
6. When prompted, close the service hose couplings by
turning the collars counterclockwise. However, any
open panel valves must remain open.
7. Remove the service hoses from the A/C system, and
install the hoses on the ACS 661's flush ports.
8. Press F1 to clear the hoses.
 This prepares the ACS 661 for the next service.
CHARGE COMPLETE
9. When the
display shows a summary of charge results.

Print out the summary by pressing F1.
Press F2 to return to the Select Action screen.
10. Close the panel valves at this time.

Dye Injection

The UV dye injection (timed regulated) is performed
with a fixed dose of about 7.5ml.
