Getting Started

Battery Installation Pundit
Touchscreen
Remove the protection foil and
lift the stand as shown. Insert the
battery and fasten in place with the
screw.
The battery must be charged for 8 hours before first use.
Connect through the power supply connection. A Quick
charger is also available (full charging < 5.5 h).
Battery Installation Pundit Array Transducer
Remove the battery pack by loosening the two screws.
WARNING!

Insert the six AA recharge-
able batteries being sure to
observe the correct polarity.
Before first use, fully charge the batteries using the charger
provided. Press the fuel gauge button to check the charge
status. 5 LEDs lit indicate a charge of more than 80%.
Connect the Transducer

Start the Pundit Array Transducer

Press the Power button to turn the transducer on. It
takes about 20 seconds to boot up.

Connect the pulse echo
and the standard pulse
velocity transducers to the
sub-D connector using the
cables provided.

Main Menu

On start up, the main menu is displayed. All functions may
be accessed directly via the Touchscreen.
System
Select your preferred interface language, date and time
settings and power saving options.
Information
Refer to the complete Operating Instructions. Also find
important device information.
Measurement
Select this option to perform measurements.
Settings
Application specific settings – See Operating Instructions
for details.
Explorer
File manager application for reviewing saved measurements.
PL-Link

Install the PL-Link software provided on the DVD. Connect
the instrument to a PC using the USB cable provided. Make
sure you are connected to the Internet.
Click on the PQ-Upgrade icon to check for
software updates.
This action should be performed periodically to make the
most of Proceq's continuous firmware development.
