INSTALLATION
NOTE !
On some engines, sensors may be mounted in
one of the drain holes. It is recommended that
these are left undisturbed and one of the other
drain holes be used.

2. For V engines determine which side of the
engine provides the best access to the
block drain, plan for routing and access for
the heater hose and it's clamp.
3. Remove all fittings and parts from the drain
hole. Save for later re-use.
NOTE !
To avoid leaks, the threads of all fittings
used during this installation should be coated
with sealing compound.
4. For kit 3862101 only, install fitting 3862196
into the drain hole as shown in the
illustration.
NOTE !
Carefully plan the orientation of the tee and
T-pipe. When installed, these fittings and hoses
should not be in contact with anything in the
engine area that will cause damage to these
parts. There must also be clear access to
install the fittings, hoses and clamps.
5. Install the tee in the drain hole or in the fitting
(as shown).
Tighten the fittings but also keep them
positioned as shown.
