7. Install the Plaster Guard
Use the plaster guard to determine the depth of the valve in the
wall, and to trace the cut-out line in the wall material. The
opening must be within 1/4" (6 mm).
Position the plaster guard over the valve.
Push until the plaster guard is flat against the surface of the valve
body mounting surface.
Secure the valve using the two provided screws. Do not
overtighten.
8. Install the Finished Wall
If the finished wall is drywall, 1/2" (1.3 cm) drywall or thicker
should be used or the finished wall will not be strong enough.
Remove the plaster guard to access and inspect the valve.
Trace the plaster guard on the water resistant wall board to mark
the cut-out.
Install the water-resistant wall board.
