Hatz 1B20 Diesel Engine
1. Turn ON the fuel by moving the fuel ON/OFF lever
fully to the right.
2. Set the engine speed control to start.
3. Taking a ¿ rm hold of the control handle with one
hand, grasp the recoil starter handle with the other.
Pull the handle until engine resistance is felt, then let the starter return.
4. Taking care not to pull the starter's rope fully out, pull the starter handle briskly with both hands.
5. Repeat this procedure until the engine ¿ res.
6. If the engine fails to start after several attempts, consult the engine manual supplied with the machine.
7. To stop the engine, set the throttle control to idle, then press and hold the red stop button until the engine stops.
Lombardini 15LD225 Diesel Engine
1. Ensure the throttle control is at 50% of
maximum speed (Halfway between MIN and
MAX)
2. Take a ¿ rm hold of the recoil starter handle
and pull the rope softly until it is extended to
it's full limit. Let the rope recoil completely. Start
the engine by pulling strongly on the rope.
3. Repeat this procedure until the engine ¿ res.
4. If the engine fails to start after several attempts,
consult the engine manual supplied with the machine.
5. Leave the engine running at idle speed for 5 minutes.
CAUTION: During ¿ rst 50 hours of use, do not exceed 70% of maximum rated power.
6. To stop the engine, set the throttle control to the STOP position until the engine stops.
1. Once the Flexible Shaft has been connected to the Power Unit, start the Engine. Whilst in
the idle speed position, slowly lower the Pump into the water and then gradually build up to
maximum speed of 2800 rpm.
2. When stopping Pumping, slow the Engine back down to Idle speed whilst the Pump is still in
the water. Then slowly bring the Pump out of the Water and switch off the Engine.
CAUTION
CAUTION
When it is not used for long periods of time, Store the Pump in a clean, dry and protected environment.
When transporting, ensure the Pump is safe against damage occuring as a result of slipping, overturning and sudden impact.

Operating Instructions
DO NOT run the engine on a higher speed than 2800 rpm. The Engine is pre-set at 2800rpm and being
run at a higher speed could cause serious damage or personal injury.
DO NOT use the machine to Pump any liquids other than water.
DO NOT use this machine to Pump À ammable liquid. Risks of ¿ res or explosions do exist.
