Resolving problems
Faults may occur with all electrical devices. This does not necessarily mean that the device is defecti-
ve. For this reason, check whether the fault can be rectified based on the list below.
Problem
The device is not working.
The device exhibits damage
(e.g. cracks, glass C, power cord
E defective).
The dial F is stuck.
Infrared light defective.
Filament worn out.
Overheating protec-
tion has engaged.
Danger of electrocution!
Never attempt to repair the defective device or if you suspect it is defective . You may endanger yourself
and subsequent users . Only authorised service persons may perform such repairs. ■

Possible cause and solution
– Make sure the power plug is in the socket.
– The power supply is disconnected; Check the fuse in the fuse box in your
home.
– The operating temperature sensor engaged to prevent overheating. Wait at
least 10 minutes until the device has cooled off and then try again.
– Check whether the dial is pointing to one of the symbols on the adjustment
scale. The device only functions if the adjustment dial is not pointing to a
symbol.
– Electromagnetic interference from the grid has shifted the device into the
safe operating state. Remove the power plug from the socket, then insert
the power plug back into the socket and switch the device on.
Pull the power plug out of the socket. Do not continue to operate the device.
Inform the customer service department.
