9.2.2 Mixing tip
Fix mixing tip at the mixing head (no. 4) by turning it 90° to the right.
The turning of the mixing tip can be eased by using the enclosed star-turn handle. The FINODOSIL Dosing
and Mixing Unit is now ready to operate.
9.2.3 Duplicating
Place your duplicating flask under the mixing tip and press the activation button (no. 2). As long as the
silicone in the mixing tip is not cured (approx. 4 minutes), an arbitrary number of flasks can be filled one after
another. Leave the tip on the mixing head after the filling process. It will serve as a closure of the mixing head.
Next time the unit is used just remove the old mixing tip by an anti-clockwise turn of 90° and replace with
a new one.
Attention: Never feed against a mixing tip with cured material!
9.2.4 Change of bottles/canisters
Remove the quick-coupling/bottle adapter from the unit by pulling up the latching. Screw quick-coupling/
bottle adapter on the new bottles/cubitainers and connect as described above. Observe the correct alloca-
tion of the components according to the colour. Always check the filling levels of the containers! They must
not be emptied completely, as otherwise air gets into the system and the unit has to be bled under great
effort. A minimal filling of 2-3 cm has to remain in the containers.

10. Service and Maintenance

Disconnect the unit from mains supply before any service or maintenance!
Cleaning is done with a mild cleaning liquid. Wipe away silicone residues from the unit. Keep coupling plug
and mixing head clean. The cleaning liquid must not get into the unit.

Clean the mixing head carefully by
means of the enclosed cleaning spirals.
Use a different spiral for each drilling,
as otherwise the two components would
mix and cure.
Assemble new mixing tip.
The unit hast to be dismounted
completely and cleaned by an expert.
Unscrew mixing head flange (no. 27)
with a 4 mm Allen key. Remove mixing
heads (no. 3) to the front. Loosen the
union nuts (no. 8a) with a 10 mm spanner
from the hoses and pull off hoses.
Refill silicone material and wait for
approx. 20 minutes until the silicone
has flown into the pipe. Put reception
bowl under the opening of the hoses,
switch unit on and press button until
both components are fed out of the
hoses free of air bubbles.
Reassemble unit in reversed order.
Check micro fuse and exchange
if necessary.
Use material recommended by the
manufacturer (a deviation of about
5 % can be tolerated).
