Preparations for the rear-mounted bicycle rack:
1. If necessary, remove all bicycle carriers (6, 7, 8). (See the „Securing
the first bicycle" section for operating the bicycle carrier.)
2. Pull out clamping devices (12) from both sides and unscrew them as
far as they will go.
Installation on the vehicle:
1. Position rear-mounted bicycle rack (1) at an angle of
approximately 30° relative to the tailgate on brackets (4), then
carefully fold it down and align it on the tailgate.
2. Tighten hexagon socket screw (2) with 23 Nm.
Important
Make sure that the rear-mounted bicycle rack is also centrally
positioned on the tailgate after tightening the clamping device. The
clamping claw must rest on the tailgate correctly. If the clamping
claw hangs over and is not screwed on hand-tight, it may cause
damage to the rear headlight glass.
3. Open the tailgate slightly. Fasten clamping claws (13) flush on the
side edges of the tailgate. Tighten clamping devices (12) by the same
amount on both sides until hand-tight and close the tailgate.
4. Push clamping devices (12) inwards until they are flush.
Folding down the folding support:
Important
Secure the folding support whilst removing the tensioning straps
to prevent it from folding down.
1. Pull release catches (14) and pull out tensioning straps (15).
2. Fold down folding support (16).
