Compactor Operation
1. Shift the THROTTLE LEVER ( , [Figure 5]) to "HIGH"
speed position. This allows the unit to start vibration. Always
operate the unit in the "HIGH" position to avoid damage to
the clutch.
WARNING
When the machine is moving in the reverse direction, the
operator must be to the right or left side of the compactor.
Do not operate from behind the operating handle.
2. Move the direction control lever ( , [Figure 7]) to the
"Forward" or "Reverse" position for the desired direction of
travel and safe speed of travel as determined by conditions.

3. Softly hold the guide bar with two hands without pushing the
plate; let the machine go forward or reverse at its own pace.
4. Changing direction left or right is done by rotating the plate
on itself, using the guide bar as a lever. The unit will rotate
more easily when it is vibrating.
5. Circulate the unit all around the area to be compacted in a
systematic way. Depending on the conditions, three to five
passes might
be necessary
compaction.
CAUTION
Never let the unit go alone as it may result into severe
injuries.

2. Allow the engine to run at low speed for 2-3 minutes before
stopping.
3. Move the throttle lever to the "STOP" position.
4. Turn the ENGINE SWITCH [Figure 2] to the OFF position.
5. Move FUEL VALVE [Figure 3] to the "S" position.
