Powering your AFi
Inserting the Battery in the Handgrip
There are four ways to power your AFi digital camera system:
•
Using a single battery solution using a battery located in the handgrip.
•
Using a split supply solution using a battery in the handgrip, and a
second battery on the AFi back. This solution gives you the flexibility
to remove the AFi back and continue working while the power is still
on. For more information on the AFi back battery, see Chapter 4,
Power Supply.
•
Using a 12 V DC split power supply. For more information, see
Connecting the AFi Back to a Power Supply on page 61.
•
Using a split supply and tethered solution using a battery in the
handgrip, and by powering the AFi back using a FireWire cable.
Note: Before using the camera system for the first time, you must charge the
battery. This may take a few hours.
