With a grease gun, press grease on both sides
until the grease comes out evenly along the
points of the star wheel. Turn star wheel at the
same time.
The saw chain must not be without oiling.

Air filter

Clean the air filter regularly. Replace damaged air
filter.
1.
Remove air filter shroud. Loosen screw and take
off shroud (S).
2.
Pull up foam filter (T) and wash out in warm
soapy water. Only reinsert when dry.
3.
Reinstall air filter shroud.
Change spark plug
1.
Remove air filter cover (S).
2.
Pull out spark plug connector from the spark
plug (U/1).
3.
Remove spark plug (U/2) with a socket wrench.
4.
Inspect electrode condition.
Correct gap: E = 0.635 mm.
5.
Screw in new original equipment spark plug.

Fuel filter

Replace fuel filter after approximately 20 operating
hours.
You will find two hoses in the tank (V):
Shorter hose to the primer (without filter)
Longer fuel hose to the carburetor (with filter)
1.
Empty fuel tank.
2.
Pull out fuel filter with a wire hook through the
filling port (V) and exchange.
3.
Stick fuel hose into the lower tank corner.
4.
Fill up fuel.

Carburetor

The carburetor has been set for optimal engine
performance at the factory.
Only allow possible adjustments to take place in
a customer service shop.
Muffler
The muffler is equipped with a fire screen. This must
be cleaned/exchanged regularly in order to maintain
engine performance.
Caution!
Exhaust gases can contain sparks - burn danger!
Replace damaged fire screen.
1.
Loosen nuts from the muffler and grip spikes
(W/1). Remove muffler.
2.
Remove the screws from the shroud. Pull the
muffler apart.
3.
Clean or exchange fire screen (W/2).
4.
Assembly occurs in the reverse sequence.
Storing the chainsaw
Conduct the following work on the chainsaw for
operational breaks lasting longer than 30 days:
1.
Empty oil tank.
2.
Fill with some engine oil.
3.
Operate the chainsaw for enough time to flush
through oil lines and oil pumps.
4.
Empty fuel tank.
5.
Start engine and allow to run until it dies from
a lack of fuel.
6.
Remove saw chain and guide bar, clean and
spray with rust-preventive oil
7.
Clean chainsaw thoroughly and store in a dry
place.
Fill again with chainsaw oil in the start-up
procedure.
