CAUTION! Excessive force when installing
the sensor will damage the sensor and it will
not operate correctly.
11. Re-install sensor in hole in new riser.
12. Torque the sensor to 4–6 ft. lb. (5.4–8.1 Nm).
13. Install connectors on sensors.
14. Repeat Steps 1–13 on other side of engine.
15. Check that all components removed from original
riser have been reinstalled. Check that all wiring,
hoses, etc. have been reconnected.
16. Reconnect power to engine.
CAUTION! Before starting the engine, pro-
vide a suitable cooling water supply. Failure
to do so will result in damage to the engine.
17. Start the engine and check all exhaust connections
for leaks; correct as needed.
18. As a test, alarm sounds for a short time during
normal engine start up. If the alarm does not
sound, check the connections and condition of
sensor; correct as needed.
