Commissioning / Operation
1. Connect the Waxprofi to the mains power outlet (Figure 2).
2. Open lid (D). The lid can be locked in place at a 120° angle (Figure 3).
3. It may be necessary to fold wax sheets (Figure 4a).
4. Add the waxes to be heated to the pot (Figure 4b).
Fill up the pot only to the circular marking (Figure 7)!
Folding or breaking the denture wax sheets to fit the pot volume is the most practical method.
When operating the unit for the first time, fill the wax pot in stages.
5. Switch the Waxprofi on at switch (A).

Setting the Temperature

The desired temperature is adjusted at the rotary potentiometer (B). The scale divisions are identified in
both °C (blue) or °F (red) (Figure 5).
The temperature is infinitely adjustable within the range is between 40 - 110 °C (104 - 230 °F).
We recommend the following procedure when commissioning the Waxprofi in order to obtain the desired
wax consistency:
1. Set the Waxprofi temperature to 15 - 20 °C (59 - 68 °F) above the liquefaction point of the base wax.
2. Depending on the desired consistency, reduce the Waxprofi's temperature as follows:
a) Liquid consistency:
Once the wax has completely melted, turn the Waxprofi's temperature down to the liquefaction point of
the wax.
b) Viscous or spreadable consistency:
Once the wax has liquefied to the point where it fills the pot to approx. the ¾-full level (Figure 6), reduce
the Waxprofi's temperature in stages until the desired consistency is obtained.
