utensils well away from moving parts.
- After use, switch off the appliance using the on/off switch (O) and unplug it from the mains power
socket.
- Take out the container (A) (Fig. 3) and bring it to the table for use or close it with the special lid (B)
to store the contents in the fridge.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
IMPORTANT: NEVER PLACE THE APPLIANCE BODY, PLUG OR POWER CORD IN WATER OR
OTHER LIQUIDS; ALWAYS WIPE CLEAN WITH A DAMP CLOTH.
IMPORTANT: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE POWER CORD FROM THE ELECTRICITY MAINS BEFORE
FITTING OR REMOVING SINGLE ATTACHMENTS OR BEFORE CLEANING THE APPLIANCE.
IMPORTANT: We recommend cleaning the appliance regularly to remove any food residues that
might remain inside the hopper. Regular cleaning will mean guaranteed hygiene for your foods.
ALWAYS clean the grater every time it is used with different foods (for example, when grating choco-
late after grating cheese), since any food residues could contaminate different ingredients.
IMPORTANT: Keep the appliance properly clean and in order, as this will guarantee excellent quality
recipes and a longer useful life for the appliance itself.
Before cleaning the appliance, it is necessary to remove all of the parts, proceeding as follows:
- take out the container (A) (Fig. 3);
- remove the roller cap (M) by turning it clockwise (Fig. 4);
- pull the roller out (L) (Fig. 5);
- remove the hopper assembly (I), lift the lever (G) first and then supporting the power base (C) with
one hand, turn the handle clockwise and remove it (Fig. 6).
Only the removable parts: roller (L), container (A), lid and cap (B-M), hopper (I), can be washed by
hand, using hot water and a mild detergent or in the top rack of the dishwasher.
- To clean the roller (L), remove it and handle it with care. Once it has been taken out, rinse it under
running water and clean with the plastic-bristled brush (N) provided.
IMPORTANT: Handle the roller with care; the blades are very sharp.
IMPORTANT: If the teeth on the roller should become bent, then the roller needs to be replaced by an
Authorised Assistance Centre. Do not try to straighten out the teeth with any type of tool (Fig. 7).
- The power base (C) can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
Take care not to use rough cloths that could scratch the plastic surfaces; use soft cloths
only.
