These operating instructions provide you with all information necessary for correct, safe and prescribed usage and maintenance of the series
18/25/34/50 of the Wetrok Duovac machine. They must be kept where they are accessible to the user all the time. The fold-out page contains photos
which reference is made to in the machine description.
PRESCRIBED USAGE
This machine is designed for the professional dry vacuum cleaning indoors according to these operating instructions.
Any other usage, in particular...
•
removing any types of dust that may be dangerous to health
•
vacuuming any flammable, poisonous, caustic, iritating or other substances representing a health
hazard is not permissible and is forbidden on account of the associated dangers.
2 GENERAL SAFETy INSTRUCTIONS
This machine is designed and constructed according to the present state of the art and recognised technical safety standards. It is electrically tested and
satisfies European Safety Standards. It is fitted with a safety device in the form of a circuit breaker. Dangers can occur in spite of this, in particular in the
case of maloperation or non-compliance with the specifications and information in the operating instructions.
2.1 Sources of danger
Electrical voltage / electric current
Warning: Danger!
Contact with voltage or current carrying parts carries the risk of electric shock, which can result in serious injury or even death. Never touch damaged
cables. Always switch off and disconnect the power supply before carrying out any work on the machine. Replace faulty cables immediately.
2.2 Improper usage
Any usage of the machine for a purpose not covered under the «Prescribed usage» or the contractually agreed purpose is not permissible.
The use of the machine in an unserviceable condition or not in compliance with the following prescriptions is prohibited:
•
Protective devices must not be removed or bypassed.
•
Conversions and modifications to the machine are not permitted.
•
Defective supply cables are only to be replaced by PVC flexible sheathed cables H 05VV.
•
The machine is to be fitted with a type H circuit breaker for a rated current of 10 A or a 10 A fuse link.
2.3 Organisational points
It is the responsibility of the operator to ensure that:
•
the machine is used only by personnel who have been instructed in its handling and authorised to use it.
•
the recognised occupational safety regulations are observed.
•
any further national or international com-pany regulations are observed.
•
all users are acquainted with the safety regulations and trained in the use of the specific machine.
•
all users have read and understood the operating instructions.
•
responsibilities for the operation, mainte-nance and repair of the machine are clearly assigned and observed.
•
faults and damage are immediately notified to the Wetrok Service Agent.

2.4 Emergencies
In the case of an emergency:
•
Pull out the mains connector plug.
•
Immediately apply recognised first-aid measures.
After incidents, do not resume operation with the machine until it has been inspected by Wetrok.
2.5 Operating for the first time
Delivery, instruction on safety rules, handling and maintenance, as well as operation for the first time is normally carried out by a specialist approved by
Wetrok. Where this is not the case, the operator is responsible for instructing the users.
Further safety instructions concerning operating and maintenance are detailed in the relevant sections and must be complied with!
3 OPERATING
3.1 Safety instructions
•
Whilst in operation, caution is to be exercised in respect to third parties, especially children.
•
When cleaning and servicing the machine or changing parts, pull out the mains connector plug.
•
Make sure that the power supply cable is in a serviceable condition.
Warning!: Ensure that the power supply cable is not damaged by being run over, crushed or dragged alone.
3.2 Operating
Preparation
Make sure that the voltage indicated on the identification plate is the same as that available in the building. The machine has double insulation and has
no earth wire.
Preparations for work
Dry vacuuming with paper filter bag
(Fig C+F)
The Wetrok Duovac 18/25/34 can be fitted with a paper filter bag.
Fitting the paper filter bag: Unfold paper filter bag (C2). Pull the rubber flange (F1) from below on to the suction connection (F2) and press it firmly against
the suction tank wall. Insert protective filter (C1). Mount suction head so that the mains cable is routed opposite the connector. Assemble suction hose,
hand pipe and nozzle.
Use only original Wetrok paper filter bags.
Dry vacuuming without paper filter bag
(Fig E)
When dry vacuuming without paper filter bag, fit the special filter bag (E2) with the water suction device (E1).
Wet vacuuming
(Fig. D)
Fit water suction device (D1 ) in place of the paper filter bag and the protective filter. Fit water suction nozzle to the hand pipe.
Duovac 50
The Duovac 50 is equipped with 2 suction motors; 1 or 2 motors can be switched on according to the required performance.
