This operating manual is valid for all hydraulic jacks, both spind-
le and telescopic models, as supplied by WEBER-HYDRAULIK
GmbH.
The permissible load is marked on the jack.
Please ensure that the weight of the vehicle to be jacked does not
exceed the permissible load. The jack complies with the German
Acciident Prevention Regulation BBV D8. It is equipped with a pres-
sure control valve to protect against overloading.
Apply the jack at the position intended by the vehicle manufac-
turer and locate it in such a way that you do not need to reach
beneath the vehicle.
Only use the vehicle jack type specified by the vehicle manu-
facturer. Take note of the section on
vehicle operating manual. If your jack is fitted with an adjusting
spindle, unscrew it until it reaches the contact position of the
load. Pump several times with open drain screw (move pump
lever up and down). Close the drain screw by turning it to the
right with the pump lever. Lifting : Continue pumping and use
pump lever path to the full. Lowering: Slowly turn the drain screw
to the left by a maximum of 1 to 2 turns. Once work is complete,
fully retract the piston and spindle. Clean and lubricate moving
parts using a good quality lubricant such as Molykote Long-term
W2 or G- 421, to grade TL9150-0075. In the event of infrequent
use, but at least every six months, completely pump up the filling
piston and fully retract it afterwards.
Safety notes
Ensure the vehicle cannot roll away.
Do not place the jack under the load at an angle and ensure that
the bearing surface is firm.
Insert the stamped end of the pump lever in the lever receptor and
create a firm connection between the two parts by turning to the
left. The vehicle jack can thus be slid under the vehicle by means
of the pump lever, and removed again after use.
At the same time, this also prevents the pump lever from slipping
out of the lever receptor.
The jacked load must be reliably supported when working beneath
the vehicle.
Inspection by qualified personnel
BGV D8§23 stipulates that the vehicle jacks must be inspected by
qualified personnel (specialist workshop) as required, or at least
once per year.
For safety reasons, it is expressly forbidden for alterations and
repairs to be performed by any persons other than qualified
personnel.
Refilling with oil
Remove plug 62 859.0.
Use hydraulic oil HL 15 – HL 22 DIN 51 524 (ISO VG 15–22), e.g.
Shell-Tellus C 15, Shell-Tellus C 22 or Mobil DTE 13.
Check oil level, remove filling plug /062.859.0) and top up where
necessary using H-540 hydraulic oil, TL 9150-0035 or Aero Shell
Fluid 71, replace filling plug.
Please pay attention to cleanliness.
