5 What to do if...
5.1 Error causes and remedies
Cause
– Operating condition undefined or
EMC load unallowed
Cause
– A cell is inserted in one of the cell
shafts
– A foreign object is inserted in one
of the cell shafts
– Occasionally, the instrument
carries out an automatic
readjustment for the rectangular
cell recognition. The informative
message Please remove cell is
displayed even when no cell is
inserted.
– The cell shaft is contaminated
– Instrument defective
Cause
– System test: Instrument defective
Remedy
– Processor reset:
Press the <ON/OFF> and
<ESC> key simultaneously
Remedy
– Remove the cell
– Then press the
<START·ENTER> key
– Remove foreign object
– Then press the
<START·ENTER> key
– Press the <START·ENTER> key
– Clean the cell shaft (see
Section 5.2)
– Restart the instrument
– If necessary, confirm the Please
