1. All connectors must conform to EN362, EN362:O5/Q & 12275, or to the standard
relevant to the country it is used in. The RAD has been designed and manufactured in
accordance with EN358:2000

The lanyard must be used with either a work-positioning belt or sit harness
manufactured to EN358 or EN813, or a full body harness to EN361 or a combination of
these harnesses
3. Be sure to keep the device above waist level, keeping the line taut and free of
movement restricted to a maximum of 60cm
[D] Misuse
1.
Used as a tensioning system for a horizontal or angled cable line. The approx.
slippage at 400kg means it cannot be overloaded
2. The RAD is not for use in Fall Arrest and is only for use in work positioning and
restraint
3. Keep at or above waist level, keep taut and free movement restricted to a maximum
of 60cm
4. Do not use on greasy ropes
[E] Fitting Instruction
1. Use Hex-key to remove screw lock
2. Open swivel cheek plate to allow loading of rope
3. Load rope around main bobbin
4. Close swivel plate and replace screw lock
[F] Pre Use Check
1. Check the handle is fully operable and moves freely
2. Check for obvious signs of wear and sharp edges
3. The pivoting cam should be able to move freely
[G] Adjustable Handle
The function of the handle is to allow the user more control of descent speed acting as
a brake along the line. When upright, the user will move down the line at a faster pace,
whereas once activated, speeds will lower. The handle is adjustable which allows the
user varying levels of control which can constantly be altered.
