OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
5. Use the fan reverse switch, located on the top of
the motor (A), to optimize your fan for seasonal
performance.
A ceiling fan will allow you to raise your thermostat
setting in the summer and lower your thermostat
setting in the winter without feeling a difference in your
comfort.
Wait for the fan to stop before moving the reverse
switch.
5A. In warmer weather, push the reverse switch to the left
to display a Sun icon, which will result in downward
air ow creating a wind chill effect.
5B. In cooler weather, push the reverse switch to the
right to display a Snow ake icon, which will result in
upward air ow that can help move stagnant, hot air off
the ceiling area. The reverse switch must be set either
completely to the right or to the left in or der for the fan
to function correctly. If the reverse switch is set in the
middle posi tion, the fan will not operate.
BLADE BALANCING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Interchanging positions of adjacent blades (K)
can redistribute the weight and result in smoother
operation. If wobble decreases, leave the blades (K)
as they are. If wobble increases, switch back to the
original position. Attach the balancing clip from the
balance kit (EE) to the mid-point on the top edge of
one blade (K).
WARNING: The balancing clip must always be rmly
pushed onto the blade until it touches the edge of the
blade. Failure to do so could allow the clip to y off and
cause personal injury.
