• Only ever create cross-connections between identical terminal cross-
sections. Connections between different cross-sections (cross-section
tapering) may lead to hazardous overheating.
• Labels that should also be affixed to the enclosure must comply with the
size restrictions set down in EN 60079-0 for plastic surfaces, or be made
of metal. They must only be fitted with fixing sets including a seal that are
tested and approved by Weidmüller.
The installation instructions listed below have been based on the following

• Ex e Component Certificates for terminals,
• Ex e Component Certificates for enclosures,
• Ex e, Ex ia and Ex e[ia] Certificates of Conformity for assemblies,
• Established installation / engineering practice.

Directions for Installation

• It is not permitted to amend the terminal content.
• Observe the maximum or minimum ratings specified on the internal
rating label.
• Ensure that all lid and earth stud screws are fully tightened after
installation.
