Install the two (2) plastic bumpers on the bottom backside corners of your frame (Fig. 4).
This is to allow the proper spacing between your frame, and the wall for the wiring junction
box on your picture light.

Re-hang your picture, or artwork on the wall. Route the line cord down behind the frame.

Switch Installation

If your fixture is being plugged into a wall switch controlled outlet, you will not need to install
the separate line cord switch described below. However, if your outlet is not switched, you
will need to install the line cord switch in order to be able to switch the light on and off.

Decide where the switch is to be placed and make a mark on the smooth side of the cord
using a pen or marker.

The line cord has a ribbed side and a smooth side. DO NOT CUT THE RIBBED SIDE OF THE
CORD! A small section (1/2 in. to 5/8 in.) of cord will need to be removed on the smooth side
of the cord. The ribbed side of the cord is contains a polarized wire and damaging it may
result in an unsafe situation. Make the first cut near the mark drawn on the cord in Step 2
(Fig. 2). Make a second cut between 1/2 in. to 5/8 in. away from the first (Fig. 3). Peel the
section between the cuts out (Fig. 4). CAUTION: do NOT cut or damage the insulation of the
ribbed side of the cord.

Loosen the screw on the mounting bracket. Position the
arm of the picture light into the mounting bracket, and
re-tighten the screw. Make sure the arm is rotated properly
to position the reflector parallel to the wall, and is
positioned at the desired height above the frame (Fig. 3).
Using the included allen wrench, tighten the set screw on
the swivel joint to prevent the head from swiveling once the
light head is in the position that looks best to you (Fig. 5).
To adjust the light spread of your picture light, hold the
reflector tube in center with one hand, and rotate the outer
reflector shades with the other hand (Fig. 6). Make sure the
light is turned off, and cool when you do this.
Install the cord switch in a convenient, easy-to-reach
location on the line cord. Loosen the screw on the switch
body and separate the halves of the switch body (Fig. 1).
Make sure not to lose the screw and small nut.

Place the cord in the hollow half of the switch body as
shown (Fig. 5). Make sure that the cut sections of the wire
do not touch each other.

Put the other half of the switch body back on and squeeze
the two halves together so the contact blades inside the
switch pierce the insulation on the cut wire. Replace the
attachment screw and nut and tighten the switch body
back together (Fig. 6).
