Allows fast removal of the tool including the secur-
ing leash.
Making a choke hitch, fasten the Tool Safety Leash
to the tool (tying the choke hitch as described
above), then attach the karabiner to a suitable
fastening point on the harness (e. g. a gear loop).
Service life and replacement
The service life of the product mainly depends on
the type and frequency of use as well as on external
influences.
Products made of artificial fibre (polyamide, polyes-
ter, Dyneema) are subject to aging even if unused;
the degree of aging mainly depends on the intensity
of ultraviolet radiation and other climatic influences.
Maximum service life at optimum storage condi-
tions (see Storage) if unused: 12 years
Infrequent use
Service life for infrequent proper use, without de-
tectable wear and at optimum storage conditions:
10 years
Inspection
The product must be inspected and serviced as
needed, but at least once per year by the manufac-
turer, a competent person or an authorised inspec-
tions agency. Among other inspections, the reada-
bility of the product labelling should be checked.
Latest when the maximum utilisation period of 10
years is exceeded, the product must be removed
from service.
