DMG recommends the use of a 2% glutaraldehyde
solution.
Ensure that the disinfectant used is indicated
for use with addition-cured silicone impres-

The manufacturer's instructions for the
disinfectant solution must be followed exactly!

Optical scanning
The quality of the optical scanning results may
vary depending on the impression scanner.
For optimum results, DMG recommends the
use of the D700 dental scanner from 3Shape.
Observe the manufacturer's instructions for
the impression scanner used.
Casting and galvanization
After removing it from the mouth, wait at
least 30 minutes before casting the impression.
DMG recommends using hard plaster (ISO 6873;
Type 3, e.g. Moldano, Bayer) for the cast and ultra
hard dental plaster for the molds (ISO 6873; Type
4, e.g. Fujirock II, GC). The impression can be
copper or silver-plated.
Storing the impression
Store the impression in a dry place at room
temperature (15 – 25 °C / 59 – 77 °F)!
Keep away from direct sunlight!
The impression is dimensionally stable and can
be cast without loss of accuracy even after several
months.
