5. INSTALLING THE Chaff olink
The following section describes how to install Chaff olink. We recommend that
you begin the procedure by connecting the gateway with the Chaff oteaux
heating product, then by connecting it to the temperature regulation accessory.
You must fi rst complete all the previous steps before you can connect the
gateway to the power supply and mount it on the wall using the wall mounting
plate.
Important!
You can only install the Chaff oteaux Room Sensor with Chaff oteaux boilers without
the BridgeNet Bus protocol. To use Chaff olink with boilers and other BridgeNet Bus
products, you must use the kit version with the Chaff oteaux Expert Control accessory.
If there is an old thermostat with the system, you must remove it by following the
instructions shown in its instruction manual and disconnect the two-pole cable from
the TA1 connector on the boiler P.C.B..
WARNING!
Installation should be performed by a qualifi ed technician.
Before installing, disable the power supply to the boiler. The BridgeNet BUS
cable is polarised: to avoid problems with system start-up, check the polarities (T
with T, and B with B) between all system components.
5.1 Types of possible installations
For the sake of argument only, in the following paragraph there are some of the
main feasible system schemes using Chaff olink and other accessories that are
already within the Chaff oteaux product range, as well as the types of services
that can be activated using these confi gurations.
The term "Remote Diagnostics" (RD) means the service directed to the Technical
Assistance Centre, through which all the product support functions of Chaff olink
are enabled remotely.
The term "Remote Control" (RC) means, conversely, the service directed to end
56
users, through which they can use the smartphone App or web portal to monitor
and set their Chaff oteaux products.

we would ask you to contact the Chaff oteaux Technical Consultancy Centre.
