AFTER A CRASH OR IMPACT
Falling off your bike is inherent in cycling. If you have an
accident with your Orbea bike, make sure you are okay
and seek medical attention, if necessary. If you have not
sustained injuries, be sure to check the condition of your
bike before riding again. Consult your bike manual for a
list of items to check.
Inspect the wheels and all their components for damage:
· Check for broken, bent, or loose spokes.
· Check that there is no damage to the hubs.
· Check that there is no damage to the rims.
· Check that there is no lateral or vertical runout in
the rim.
· Check the condition of the bearings and hubs.
· Check the condition and pressure of the tires.
If you discover any component damage, stop riding im-
mediately.
Carbon rims are stiff and strong, but in the
do not bend: they break. A strong enough
impact on this material could cause damage
could lead to future material failure. If you
have any doubts about the impact of a crash
or accident, contact your Orbea dealer for a
correct diagnosis of the materials.
Even if you don't notice any damage, pay close atten-
tion to the sound of your bike when you get back on it.
Cracked, broken, and other problematic parts can cause
unusual noises. If you identify any unusual noise, stop us-
ing the bike immediately and contact your Orbea dealer
for a correct diagnosis.

Sometimes, the impact of a crash or accident can only be
detected by completely disassembling the bike to check
for broken or deteriorating parts.
A blow or impact can cause serious damage
to your bike and its components, causing
them to fail or wear out prematurely. Failures
can occur suddenly and without warning,
causing loss of control of the bike, serious
injury, or even death.

The installation of non-original spare parts
can cause damage to your wheels which is
not covered by the warranty conditions.
