10.4 Oil seals Service
To facilitate this operation use a sharp point screwdriver as shown in the picture below.

Rotate the pump shaft untill the plunger corresponding to
the oil seal to service is at the bottom dead center (B.D.C.)
(picture 2).
Using a sharp point screwdriver (picture 1) and a hammer,
punch the metal structure of the oil seal (picture. 3).
Rotate the screwdriver by 90° so that the pawl has a se-
cure grip on the oil seal, than push up.

Mounting the new oil seal after lubricating with oil or
grease both the internal and external lips.
Push the oil seal into its housing using the proper tools
(see table at page 29)
