15. Reposition the A/C compressor (2) to the engine.
16. Install the stud (3) and the three bolts (1) that secure
the A/C compressor (2) to the engine. Tighten the
bolts to 28 N∙m (21 ft. lbs.).
17. Reposition the bracket (4) onto the stud and install the
retaining nut (5). Tighten the nut to 40 N∙m (30 ft. lbs.).
18. Connect the engine wire harness to the A/C compres­
sor (2).
CAUTION: Do not let the tensioner arm snap back to
the freearm position, severe damage may occur to the
tensioner.
19. Rotate the belt tensioner (7) until it contacts its stop.
Install the belt (3) to the A/C compressor pulley (4) ,
then slowly rotate the tensioner (7) into the freearm
position.
20. Install the air cleaner body assembly.
21. Install the engine cover and close the hood.
22. Connect the negative cable from battery located un­
der passenger side front seat.
