DETAILED SAFETY REGULATIONS
WARNING: Safety regulations must be observed, when the device is
operated. This instruction manual should be read for your own and
bystanders' safety, before the device is operated. This instruction
manual should be kept for future reference.
REMEMBER: The operator or user is responsible for accidents or
hazards occurring to other people or the environment.
• When the sharpener is operated, work safety and hygiene
regulations in force should be strictly observed.
• Before operation is commenced, check the unwound power cord
for damage or wear.
• Do not use the sharpener, if the power cord is damaged or worn.
• Before connecting to the power source, always make sure the
supply voltage is compatible with the value specified on the
nameplate.
• The tool can be connected only to an electrical system equipped
with a differential current protection that will cut the power off
when earth leakage current exceeds 30 mA in less than 30 ms.
• Do not allow the tool to be operated by children and people not
familiarized with the instruction manual.
• Do not operate the tool, when other people, children or household
animals in particular, are in the vicinity.
• Before you begin working, make sure there is enough free space
and proper lighting over the work station.
• Check, whether speed indication on the grinding wheel is of an
equal value to the rated speed of the sharpener or higher;
• Make sure the grinding wheel size are suitable for the sharpener;
• The grinding wheel should be stored and handled according to
the manufacturer's instructions of the grinding wheel.
• Before you begin working, check the grinding wheel. Do not use
dented, broken or otherwise damaged grinding wheels.
• Make sure the grinding wheel is fastened according to the
manufacturer's instructions.
• Before it is used, check the grinding wheel for correct alignment
and fastening, start-up the tool with no load for 30 s in a safe
position. Stop it immediately, if vibrations or other faults are
found. If the condition repeats, check and find a problem cause;
• Do not operated without the grinding wheel shield in place;
• Do not use grinding wheels with a larger fitting hole.
• Do not use cutting disc from other tools, such as circular saws.
• Check the workpiece for correct fastening, and the grinder for
correct fastening to the workshop table top;
• Do not use the sharpener in rooms with explosive atmospheres.
• Make sure that sparks generated during sharpening do not pose a
danger, e.g. do not fall at people or substances that can be ignited;
• Make sure that ventilation holes of the sharpener are passable and
kept clean during operation.
• Before cleaning, disconnect the device from power supply. Clean
the device using non-metal objects to avoid damaging internal
parts.
• Always use eye and ear protection.
• It is also recommended to use personal protection equipment,
such as dust mask, protective gloves, helmet and protective apron.
• After the sharpener is switched off, the grinding wheel keeps
turning until it stops.
• Do not attempt to repair the sharpener on your own.
• All repairs should be performed by a qualified person only, or in an
authorised service centre, using original spare parts.
NOTE! The device is intended for indoor works.
Despite using the construction, which is safe by design itself,
protection means and additional safety features, there is always
a residual risk of injuries during operation.
CONSTRUCTION AND APPLICATION
The chain sharpener is a device driven with a single-phase,
commutator motor, with II class isolation. The power tool of this type
are designed for sharpening a majority of cutting chains for circular
saws of common use, different pitch and at various angles. The
sharpener is equipped with chain tensioner and angle graduation,
which allows for very precise sharpening. The sharpener is intended
for amateur works (DIY).
The power tool should be used according to its purpose. The tool
should be used only for sharpening sawing chains. Never use it
to grind or sharpen other materials.

PREPARATION FOR WORK
INSTALLING THE SHARPENER
The chain sharpener is delivered in a disassembled state. All
components must be taken out of the package and assembled in the
below described order.
