Cleaning, Disinfecting, Drying
Clean and disinfect the full face mask after every use, every time before it is
used by another user or, if individually assigned, as often as necessary to
keep in a sanitary condition.
Excessive disinfectant concentrations and too long disinfecting times can
damage the full-face mask.
Do not use organic solvents such as acetone, alcohol etc. Only use the
cleaning agents and disinfectants listed below.
If the full-face mask is very dirty, clean it with a cloth and lukewarm water
mixed with a mild detergent or an all-purpose detergent.
Insert the full-face mask in a disinfectant bath with Airkem A-33
Rinse thoroughly under running water.
Dry the full-face mask in a drying cabinet or in air. Keep out of direct
sunlight.
The maximum temperature for cleaning, disinfecting, and drying may be

Visual Inspection
Check if the full-face mask is complete and functions correctly.
Check the exhalation valve:
Remove the protective cap from the mask connector and pull out the
valve disc.
The valve disc and seat must be clean and undamaged.
Clean or replace if necessary. Moisten the valve disc with water
before fitting it.
Maintenance
Carry out both a visual inspection and a leak test after any maintenance
work.
Replacing the lens
Mask with metal lens frame: Grip the hexagonal nuts and unscrew the
screws.
Mask with plastic lens frame: Unscrew the screws. Pry the lens frame
apart with a screwdriver at the connecting points, then pull it off to the top
and bottom.
Remove the connector clamp, sliding ring and support if necessary.
Detach the old lens from its rubber frame.
Insert a new lens, first in the upper half and then in the lower half of the
rubber frame.
The center marks on the lens must be aligned with the seam on the
facepiece.
Draw the rubber frame over the edge of the lens on the right and left.
Moisten the outside of the rubber frame and the inside of the lens frame
with soap solution.
Fit first the upper, then the lower lens frame.
Put support between connector clamp and sliding ring if necessary,
clamp it to the bottom lens frame and align it.
Mask with metal lens frame: Screw the screws into the hexagonal nuts
and tighten until the gap between the clamp lobes is between 3 and
0.5 mm.
Mask with plastic lens frame: Insert and tighten the screws.
Replacing a control valve disc
Pull out the old valve disc towards the inside.
Insert the stud of the new disc into the hole from inside, and pull it
towards the lens until the undercut of the stud is visible.
The valve disc should make even contact with the inside surface.
Replacing the exhalation valve disc
Remove the protective cap from the mask connector.
Pull out the valve disc.
The valve disc and seat must be clean and undamaged. Clean or replace
if necessary.
Moisten valve disc with water and refit.
Refit the protective cap so that it engages.

Replacing an inhalation valve disc
Pull the inhalation valve out by its edge.
Remove the old valve disc and fit new disc.
Stretch and press the inhalation valve disc around the stem until it makes
even contact all around.
The valve disc must not be pinched. The disc must face inwards, and the
stems face outwards.
Storage
Loosen the straps as far as possible.
Wipe lens with anti-static cloth.
Pack full-face mask in its bag or box.
Store it in a dry, dust-free place where it is not deformed.
