ELECTRONIC MONITOR
To give you greater control over your exercise, this
electronic unit provides simultaneous read-outs
of speed, distance, exercise time, calories burnt
and pulse rate.
If at any time during exercise you press the
START/STOP button then all of the unit's
functions will stop. Pressing the START/STOP
button again will restart the machine.
The monitor will switch itself off automatically if
the unit stands idle for more than 4 minutes.
Important. Deposit all spent batteries or waste
packaging in special containers, figure 2.
FITTING THE ELECTRONIC
MONITOR
ATTACHING THE FEEDBACK CABLE.
Take hold of the cable (53), which is sticking up
out of the main post , Fig. 3A, and plug it into the
connector (53a) at the back of the electronic unit
(P), as shown in figure 3A
FITTING THE HAND-GRIP CABLE.
Take hold of the Hand-grip connectors (54 &
55), sticking out of the main post , and plug
them into the connectors (54a & 55a) located at
the back of the monitor (P), as shown in Fig. 3A.
ATTACHING THE MONITOR
Release screws (C), Fig 1, at the back of the
monitor.
Next, slide the front of the monitor onto the plate
on top of the main post (B) in the direction of the
arrow, Fig. 3, push the cables down into the
main post making sure not the pinch any of the
cables. Replace the screws (C) removed
previously.
Once you have checked that the monitor works
correctly, go on to fit the trim covers to the
handlebar.
MONITOR FUNCTIONS
This monitor has six keys: PULSE / RECOVERY;
DOWN ; ENTER; UP; START/STOP; USER.
The
top
of
the
START/STOP; PROGRAM (program number);
LEVEL (exertion level); PULSE (pulse rate).
The centre display shows the values that have
been recorded on the left and the programs and
English
display
shows
USER;
graphs for the exercise on the right.
At the bottom of the display there are six
windows that show TIME; SPEED; RPM:
DISTANCE; CALORIES and PULSE.
This monitor also has 1 manual program, 6 pre-
set exertion level programs; 1 user defined
program, 1 Steady Watt Rate program and 3
Heart Rate Control programs.
You can reset of all the values back to zero by
holding the START/STOP key down for 3
seconds.
1.MANUAL PROGRAM
Press the START/STOP key to switch the
monitor on, the words MANUAL 1 will appear
on the screen. Use the UP/DOWN keys to
increase or decrease the exertion level, there
are 16 exertion levels.
Programming a time limit:
Press the START/STOP key to switch the
monitor on, then press the ENTER key until the
time window starts to fl ash, use the UP/DOWN
to specify the duration of the exercise (from 1 -
99 minutes), select the time limit and press
START/STOP to begin the exercise. The time
will begin to count down until it reaches zero, at
which point the monitor will beep several times to
advise
you
that
programmed value.
Programming a calorie limit:
Press the START/STOP key to switch the
monitor on, then press the ENTER key until the
calorie window starts to fl ash, use the
UP/DOWN to specify the calories for the
exercise (from 10 -9990 cal), select the calories
and press START/STOP to begin the exercise.
The calories will begin to count down until they
reach zero, at which point the monitor will beep
several times to advise you that you have
reached the programmed value.
2. PROGRAM FUNCTION
Press the START/STOP key to switch the
monitor on, the words MANUAL 1 will appear
on the screen. Use the UP/ DOWN keys to
select the program graph (2 – 7 )that you wish
to
use
for
START/STOP key to begin. The duration of the
program graph is 30 minutes, divided into ten 3
minute stages. If you decide to specify a time
