Remove Underbody Panel – (If installed) Remove (10) screws (with 5.5mm socket) and (2) plastic nuts (with 10mm socket).

Lower Exhaust– Using exhaust removal pliers and some lubrication remove the rubber isolator from the hanger. Note: The 1.0L turbo will have 1 hanger on the passenger side and
the 2.0L will have a hanger on each side. Note: The passenger side isolator is best to be removed from the top hanger and on the driver side the isolator is best to be removed from
the bottom hanger.

Remove Fasteners– Remove the (2) vertical 10mm bolts(with 15mm socket), each side (4 bolts total). Note: If extra clearance is needed disconnect the electrical wire from the driver
side frame rail. (Remove by pulling down on the attachment housing)
4.
Raise Hitch- Raise the hitch over the passenger side hanger first, then raise the hitch over the driver side hanger, and slide into place.
5.
Install Fasteners– Install the supplied fasteners as shown in figure 1. Items
hole, to the attachment hole and install items
6.
Torque Fasteners– Torque all 1/2"-13 GR5 fasteners to 50 Lb-Ft (68 n-m) and all 10mm-1.5 CL10.9 fasteners to 38 Lb-Ft (52 n-m)

Raise Exhaust- Raise exhaust and reattach hangers. Note: Reconnect the electrical wire if removed in step 3.

Trim Underbody Panel- (If installed) Trim the underbody panel (SEE FIGURE 2). Using the holes for the 10mm fasteners (not centered) measure 4 5/16" from the passenger side
attachment hole and mark the center line. Trim a 5 1/2"x 6" section in the center/rear of the panel. Then Trim a 2" section 20 5/16" from the center line to the passenger side
leaving a 1" tab in the rear to reattach to the fascia. Then trim a 2" section 17 1/4" from the center line to the driver side leaving a 1" tab in the rear to reattach the fascia. Then
install.
Note: check hitch frequently, making sure all fasteners and ball are properly tightened. If hitch is removed, plug all holes in trunk pan or other body panels to prevent entry of water and exhaust fumes. A hitch or ball which has been
damaged should be removed and replaced. Observe safety precautions when working beneath a vehicle and wear eye protection. Do not cut access or attachment holes with a torch. This product complies with safety specifications and
requirements for connecting devices and towing systems of the state of New York, V.E.S.C. Regulation V-5 and SAE J684.
