CAUTION!

ATTENTION TO THE SAFETY NOTICES BEFORE CONNECTING UP, COMMISSIONING,
OR MAINTAINING THE PLASMA CUTTER. IF THE INSTRUCTIONS SHOULD NOT BE

TIONS WHICH WILL ALLOW YOU TO WORK WITH YOUR DEVICE SAFELY AND WITH-
OUT ANY PROBLEMS.
INTRODUCTION
Your plasma cutter is fitted with highly developed safeguards which return the device to a
safe state in the event of the device malfunctioning. This is why it allows cutting procedures
while complying with all safety requirements. Plasma cutting technology requires a danger-
ously high voltage to start up the pilot arc and during cutting, which is why the following safety
regulations must be carefully complied with.
SAFETY AND GENERAL WARNINGS
DANGER ELECTRICITY! AN ELECTRIC SHOCK CAN BE FATAL
Make sure that the device is earthed and that the mains connection is designed for the
power consumption specified on the type plate.
Make sure that the workbench is connected to an earth connection.
Avoid any contact between bare skin or wet clothes and the workpiece to be processed.
Do not lean on the workpiece and do not hold it in your hands.
Do not make any cuts in a moist environment or on wet surfaces.
Do not use the device if the torch or cable assembly are damaged.
It is important to always switch the device off when you are replacing the wear parts on
the torch.
Always disconnect the device from the mains before carrying out any maintenance inside
the device.
CAUTION!
Repairs, maintenance, and doing any work on the device itself may only be carried out by
trained electricians! The operator must comply with all applicable regulations for safe operation
(e.g. standards, accident prevention regulations).
CAUTION!
Before starting work, check the device for damage. If there is any damage, then the device
must not be operated. Have the device repaired by a qualified electrician.
ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY (EMC)
Before commissioning the device, make sure that in the vicinity of the plasma cutter there are:
no other supply cables, control cables, telephone cables or other equipment
no radio receivers or televisions
no computers or other control systems
no people with pacemakers or hearing aids
no devices which are sensitive to electromagnetic waves.
