PROTECTIVE SHIELD
Unscrew the protective shield from the torch head. Clean or replace it if it is damaged
■
(burns, deformation, or cracks).
Check the nozzle holder as well as the torch safety switch on the torch head.
■
CUTTING NOZZLE
Check the wear of the drill hole as well as the inner and outer surface.
■
If the opening is bigger than it originally was, then replace the nozzle.
■
With an oxidised surface, clean it with extra fine sanding paper.
■
DIFFUSER
Make sure that the diffuser does not have any smouldering areas or cracks and that the air
■
openings are not blocked.
If you can see any damage to it, it must be replaced immediately.
■
ELECTRODES
Change the electrode if the contact area is burned with a diameter of more than 2 mm.
■
CAUTION!
Never remove the torch head without having unplugged the mains plug.
Any work on the torch head while live can lead to a serious electric shock.
CAUTION!
Wait until the cutting torch has cooled off before changing the wear parts.
It is very important to read these instructions carefully before selecting the wear parts for
the cutting torch. This will help you avoid damaging the torch and the plasma cutter.
To change the wear parts of the torch, please hold the cutting torch with the protective
■
shield. This will help you avoid parts falling out when the nozzle holder is removed.
1. Unscrew the protective shield and nozzle holder from the torch head.
2. Remove the cutting nozzle, diffuser, and electrode.
3. If necessary, replace electrode, diffuser, or cutting nozzle.
4. Press the nozzle holder onto the torch head and tighten it hand-tight.
If you should feel any resistance when positioning it, check the screw-in thread on the
nozzle holder or torch head.
5. Install the protective shield.
MAINTENANCE
CAUTION!
Maintenance may only be carried out by appropriately trained experts.
All necessary tools and measuring instruments must also be available for the maintenance.
If this is not the case, please make contact with service.
